True to his unfiltered nature, Rishi’s memoir Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored was a candid and entertaining account of his life. The book featured an emotional foreword written by his son and actor Ranbir Kapoor.

As I sit down to analyse my relationship with my father, I would say that the most precious gift he has given my sister Riddhima and me is that we can love our mother Unconditionally. He showed us by example that she was at the centre of all our lives and our home. With her as our bedrock, none of the ups and downs in our lives could really touch us,” he wrote in the foreword.

The second gift is that he has been a good husband to my mother,” Ranbir wrote. While Rishi had his ‘fair share of intense fights’ with wife Neetu Kapoor, he truly loved and immensely respected her, setting an example of a successful marriage for Ranbir and Riddhima.

Ranbir, who made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya in 2007, was inspired by Rishi’s work ethic. “I saw his enthusiasm even at that age, after all those years in the industry. He had it in him to better his craft, go shopping for his costumes or examine every minute aspect. He is that kind of man; very detail-driven. This is something I deeply admire,” he wrote.

Though Rishi did not experiment too much in the first two decades of his career, he ‘worked hard to reinvent himself’ in his second innings, Ranbir said. Talking about their equation, he said that their relationship was ‘one of complete reverence’.

Usually known as the Saree of Royalty and Queens, the beautiful 'Paithani' saree has an elaborate story to it. Let's begin with the Origin of this Precious saree.
Origin:
The Name Paithani, is actually derived from the name of the town Paithan, in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, where these exclusive sarees were handwoven for more than 2,000 years. This saree was patronised by the Nawabs, Nizamis and the Peshwas.
However, it was actually the Satvahana Dynasty in the 2nd Century BC who were the real originators of this artistic version of a Saree. The finest silk sarees flourished during Aurangzeb's rule, where he actually punished weavers if they did not weave paithani sarees.

However, once the British came the art of handloom paithani's took a setback and so the Peshwas shifted all handloom paithani weavers to Yeola, which is the mainstay for all Paithani weavers.
Weaving Technique:
Raw Silk threads are dyed and then handwoven together in a unique pattern by the weaver. This process takes an entire day and with minute hand and eye co-ordination the Paithani saree comes into existence. It sometimes takes upto 2 months to a year to create a masterpiece like Paithani if handwoven, and which usually is.
Color threads are used length and width wise to form intricate patterns and motifs

  • Sixyard Paithani is made with approx 500 grams of silk and 250 grams of Zari Threads
  • Nineyard Paithani is made with approx 900 grams of silk thread
  • Takes upto 2 months to 1 year to create one Handloom Paithani
  • To recognise a True Paithani, check both sides of the saree, if they are identical then its a True handwoven Paithani, if not its a factory made copy
  • Paithani's trademark motif is a Peacock, however now Paithani's are available in various different types of motifs such as lotus, vines, birds, flowers etc

Chardham Yatra 2020: विधिविधान के साथ ग्रीष्मकाल के लिए खुले केदारनाथ धाम के कपाट, पूजा में शामिल हुए 16 लोग ... इसके बाद तय समय पर सुबह 6.10 बजे केदारनाथ मंदिर के कपाट खोल दिए गए।

 कपाट खुलने के मौके पर यहां तीर्थयात्री और स्थानीय लोगों की कमी साफ देखी गई। कोराना संकट के चलते यह पहला मौका होगा जब कपाट खुलने पर बाबा के दरबार में भक्तों का टोटा नहीं था।सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग रहे और भीड़ न हो इसके लिए प्रशासन ने किसी को भी केदारनाथ जाने की अनुमति नहीं दी है। इसलिए कपाट खुलने के मौके पर काफी कम संख्या में लोग मौजूद नहीं रहे। मंगलवार को जिलाधिकारी मंगेश घिल्डियाल ने बताया था कि कोरोना महामारी के चलते केदारनाथ के कपाट खुलने की परम्परा का सादगी से निर्वहन किया जाएगा, किसी भी दर्शनार्थी को केदारनाथ जाने की अनुमति नहीं दी गई है।

 इतिहास में पहली बार मंदिर परिसर रहा खाली
केदारनाथ यात्रा के इतिहास में यह पहला मौका है जब मंदिर के कपाट खुलने के अवसर पर मंदिर परिसर पूरी तरह खाली रहा। इस बार हजारों भक्तों की बम-बम भोले के जयघोषों की गूंजों की कमी खली। ऐसा पूर्व में कभी नहीं देखा गया कि जब बाबा केदार के कपाट खुल रहे हों और भक्तों की किसी तरह कमी देखी गई हो।
